Commercial and Residential

Commercial

Our experience in the area of commercial policy coverage is extensive. We can represent any type of interest big or small.

This includes losses caused by any covered peril affecting real or personal property owned by a sole proprietor, partnership, association, corporation or other entity.

Commercial policies contain many strict requirements such as co-insurance requirements, otherwise known as the insured-to-value clause.

How the business or large commercial property owner presents their claim to the carrier is critically important. There is little room for error and one mistake along the way can adversely affect the outcome of the claim.

Depending on the size of the loss, miscalculations along the way can result in a net settlement decrease anywhere from several thousands to millions of dollars.

Our extensive knowledge of your policy coupled with careful research, documentation and expert sources to draw from, will enable you to realize a much better settlement result.

After suffering a fire or other loss, most insureds expect their insurance company to look out for their interests and take good care of them.

In fact, the insurance company adjuster or independent adjuster hired to investigate and handle your claim cannot and will not advocate for you.

Consider a Department of Insurance regulation that requires the following information be disclosed to the policyholder following a loss;

ADJUSTERS, (employed by your insurance company). They can only “REPRESENT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY”

INDEPENDENT ADJUSTERS (outside firms contracted by your company). They are paid by your company and will only “REPRESENT THE COMPANY”

PUBLIC ADJUSTERS (only work for you) and “DO NOT WORK FOR THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY WORK FOR YOU, THE INSURED”

This language was created by the state legislature to clear up misconceptions people have held about their insurance company being there to help them after their loss.

Simply put, the company adjuster or independent adjuster hired by the insurance company cannot serve two masters.
